this is great Betsy! I knew I should come to FEWS tonight... I love the the style and the expression on her face..haha... The only comment I have is that when you are doing such exaggerations, try to exaggerate the feel of weight too.. I mean, like where her ass is squishing against the chair, and on her leaning arm... try to emphasis the fat (this is true in general, not just in her case...) love to see more of these!
Betsy, You never fail to impress me with your uber/epic talent! I really really like the first one. As far a critiques go, Avner has a good point (like where her ass is squishing against the chair, haha, good one Avner) I also sorta kinda maybe want to see the Aztec Man in some sort of environment. Perhaps some gold aztec calenders behind him to give it an Indiana Jones feel. I dunno.
Keep Posting!!! I like it when you make pictures :P
I love the style of the squishy-assed lady! Very very cool. I think its really cool when illustrators put textures and designs into their sketches for clothing, I think Francis Vallejo does it in his sketches. I think it would help make the clothes more interesting. I really like the direction your going though. Maybe some tears on Aztec man?? haha
Good mornning Betsy. Your dad shared your Blog address with me. I've passed it on to my secretary (Brenda Zacharias) and Barbara Johns (from the Medina County Art League) so that they have the opportunity to see your work.
I can't begin to tell you how proud I am of yoru continued professional growth.
I would very much like to have you do a drawing of me on commission. Can you get in touch with me via email?
