Merry Christmas!

A belated Merry Christmas to everyone! The first is an image that was supposed to be a Christmas card, but I didn't quite get my act together and finish it on time. The second was a Christmas gift to my grandma. Felt good to use colored pencils and watercolors again!

A lot more blog posts to come within the next couple of days--lots of things happening in my life artistically right now that I need to document!

I did this a while back for my friend Stephanie as an idea for a character she'd like to build in 3D.

It has been too long!! About a month ago I finished up one of these for JibJab, due out this winter. I'll explain more as the time draws nearer, but I'm very very honored to have been asked to do one considering the company I'm in!

I also moved into a new house with fellow Ringling grad & DD'er Gabby Zapata! Hooray for jobs and life!

Going to try to update once a week from now on... Got a big personal project coming up. :)

The Legend of Tembo

Blog posts are getting fewer and farther in between. Part of that is because I have been very busy between a great big freelance job (that I'll be able to talk about soon) and my day job--which, for the past 3 months, has been working on this movie! Aaron Blaise has been functioning as both co-director on this film and as my mentor. It's such an honor being given individual attention by someone of Aaron's caliber, especially when he himself was mentored by none other than Glen Keane.
