Thanks, everyone for your continued support. It makes me feel so good to know that there are others out there who appreciate my work. Thank you thank you!
Wow Betsy. You're last few posts are really gorgeous! You really raised your stuff to a new level. Very cool. I love the light in this one, the colors and the shapes. I love how the blanket is hanging on his horn.. nice touch! The only thing I would suggest would be to try this in a really dark environment. The bright white is a bit 'sterile' for this one. Good job.
Thank you so much for swinging by my blog! Your work is phenomenal! I love how you manipulate rhythm and shape in your characters! Very inspiring work! :)
Bravo work Besty! Sounds like you've been having a blast at Sony this Summer. For some reason I was thinking you were a Story Intern (I'm thinking that's what it said on your LinkedIn), but as I can see the Visual Development work you've been doing seems appealing as always.
Adam-- Thanks! Yeah, I was originally hired as a Story Intern (because they said Vis-Dev was full already), but they threw me into the Visual Development department anyway. Works out because that's what I had wanted to do anyway!
Just saw Bookworm on Tumblr and it quickly became a new favorite of mine. Do you sell prints of your drawings? Would love to get this for my daughter (really for myself)!
I do sell prints! Shoot me an email at betsy.bauer.art@gmail.com and we can work something out! Usually I charge about $25 for an 8.5x11 print and $35 or so for an 11" x 17" print. Shipping costs will of course vary based on where you're living. :)
